Scenic Cruising the Sounds and Dunedin, NZ

Well Hello Everyone!

We are all doing well down here in New Zealand. Beautiful counrty I am falling a bit behind on my blogs so let me post two days in one.

On the 12th we woke up bright and early. We were entering the Milford Sounds, one of the "wonders of the world" and I would agree. It was rainy, but what we could see was stunning! Because of the amount of rain they had been getting it made the waterfalls gush. Some of them even looked like they were comming out of the side of the mountains. From there we were suppose to enter the doughtful sounds but couldn't because of the winds. So then we went on the Dusty sound. By then the weather cleared up. Again some amazing sights! The pictures do the Fjords no justice, but they give an idea of what can be seen there.

Today (the 13th) we landed in Dunedin, NZ, which is on the south island. Since it was sunday we chose to go to a meeting. We have met some fellow friends on the boat from Vancouver Canada. They knew some of the locals and went to the afternoon meeting with them, but we chose to goto the morning meeting at 10am. This was quite a treat. The meeting in Sydney was rather small since a number of friends were camping, but the meeting at the Dunedin South Congregation was packed, with over 120. They had their CO visit with Brother Calvin Price. It was neat to see the unity of the organization. Having our CO visit not too long ago, he reviewed alot of the same points that were brought out at our meeting. Amazing. The cong just split 3 months ago to form a 3rd cong in that kingdom hall. We met so many friends. One was a brother named Russell who told us about his busy past couple of months, one of which was organizing the drama for the convention. We also met a brother named Eden, who I exchanged contact info with, so hopefully we'll see him pop up on the blog too. We spend the rest of the day tooling around Dunedin, which was a neat town.

Well hope everyone is doing well back at home. Looking forward to seeing all this snow I keep hearing about!
