Update Link to Pictures from Dec 3rd to 5th at end of blog.
Thats right December 5th. Flying out we lost an entire day. We arrived in Sydney roughly 2pm today safely (want to make sure I get that out there). But lets start back on the 3rd. That day we spent in downtown Sandiego before we had to leave. SanDiego is a nice city, and it was beautful weather out. We walked Old Town, which represented what SanDiego used to be. That area is mostly shops and museums. From there we took the trolly to the ports. There we had lunch/dinner at Athony's. Good coconut shrimp (but not as good as Marjories's). We walked along the piers where we saw quite a funny site. It was a school field trip where about 30 ten year old kids were going on a field trip on an old sail boat. The captain of the ship was trying to whip them into shape.
That night we left for our flight. We took a quick flight to LAX and then came the big one. Here's a little tangent at LAX we met Juana from South Carolina. She was working on her return trip from the Hawaii international convention. I actually felt the 15.5 hour flight went by faster than the cross country flight we took the day before. In the long flight each of us had a little screen where we could watch movies and TV shows. I watched "UP" which was a pretty good movie. Once we arrived at the Sydney airport we had to go through Customs. The line was unbeleiveably long, but fortunately we got diverted by one of the officers and we got through much faster.
Once we checked into our hotel in Sydney we took a walk around town. Our hotel is like 1.5 miles from the famous opera house. Amazing! We also walked around the Royal Gardens. They were beautiful, with the many different plants and wildlife. We even saw fox bats. But now we are all wiped, jet lag maybe. Its only 8pm when I am writing this, but it feels much later! When I get a better internet connection I will try to upload photos.
Have a great evening everyone!
